Lans Toys Co. — Terms of Service

Welcome to Láns Toys Co. (“Láns Toys,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, products, and services (collectively, the “Services”). By visiting our site or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1) Eligibility & Your Account

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your state) to place an order.
  • You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information at checkout.

2) Orders, Availability & Cancellations

  • Order acceptance. Your order is an offer to buy; we may accept or reject it after review (e.g., for suspected fraud, incorrect pricing, or stock issues). We’ll notify you if we cannot fulfill your order and will refund any charges.
  • Made-to-order & handcrafted items. Some products are handcrafted or made-to-order and may have unique characteristics or small variations in color/finish. Product photos are for reference.
  • Preorders. Estimated ship dates for preorders appear on the product page and are subject to change.

3) Pricing, Taxes & Promotions

  • Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change without notice.
  • Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout based on your shipping address.
  • Promotions, discounts, and free-shipping offers are limited-time, non-transferable, and subject to change. One offer per order unless stated otherwise.

4) Shipping, Risk of Loss & Title

  • U.S. shipping only. We currently ship to addresses within the United States.
  • Processing times. In-stock items ship within 1–3 business days; made-to-order items ship within 3–5 business days (as labeled on the product page).
  • Rates. Free standard U.S. shipping on orders over $50 (before tax/discounts). Flat shipping applies to orders under $50 (rate shown at checkout).
  • Carriers & tracking. We typically use USPS and UPS. You’ll receive a tracking email when your order ships.
  • Risk of loss. Title and risk of loss pass to you upon our delivery of the package to the carrier.

5) Returns, Refunds & Quality Guarantee

  • Standard returns. We accept returns of unused and new Lans puzzles within 30 days of purchase, in original packaging and condition.
  • Quality issues. If your puzzle arrives damaged, incomplete, incorrect, or has a quality issue at any time, contact us and we’ll make it right (replacement, refund, or store credit).
  • Refund method. Refunds may be issued to the original payment method or as store credit after we receive/inspect the return.
  • Return shipping. Customers pay return shipping unless the item was damaged, defective, or incorrect on arrival.

6) Gift Cards & Store Credit

  • Gift cards and store credits are not reloadable, cannot be redeemed for cash (unless required by law), and are not replaceable if lost or stolen.
  • Expiration and other terms appear at purchase or on your account.

7) Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or to violate any laws;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services (including introducing malware or scraping without permission);
  • Use our content, images, or trademarks except as expressly allowed by these Terms or with our written consent.

8) Intellectual Property

All content on the Services—including product designs, images, text, graphics, logos, and puzzle artwork—is owned by Lans Toys or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9) User Content (Reviews, Photos, Feedback)

  • You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute your User Content in connection with the Services and our marketing (in any media), with or without attribution.
  • You represent that you own or have all rights needed for your User Content and that it doesn’t infringe others’ rights or violate any law.
  • We may edit or remove User Content that violates these Terms.

10) Third-Party Services & Links

Our site may link to third-party websites or use third-party services (e.g., payment processors). We’re not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms and privacy policies.

11) Payment & Security

We use third-party payment processors. By submitting a payment method, you represent you’re authorized to use it and you authorize us (and our processor) to charge your order total (including taxes, shipping, and any applicable fees). We do not store full payment card numbers.

12) Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services and all products are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties; in such cases these limitations may not apply to you.

13) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will Lans Toys, its owners, employees, or suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the Services or products, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise, even if we’ve been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim. Some states do not allow certain limitations; portions of this section may not apply to you.

14) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lans Toys and our owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

15) Dispute Resolution; Governing Law

  • Informal resolution first. Before filing a claim, you agree to email us at support@lanstoys.com with a description of your issue so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days.
  • Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
  • Venue. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of state and federal courts located in Massachusetts for any dispute not resolved informally or in small claims court, unless prohibited by law.
  • Class-action waiver. You and Lans Toys agree that any claims will be brought individually, not as part of a class action or representative proceeding.

16) Changes to the Services or Terms

We may update the Services and these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” above shows when these Terms were last updated. Changes take effect when posted. Your continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
